- Formatting Issues: The resume’s two-column format, combined with the use of icons and graphs, complicates its readability by ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems). This complexity often results in resumes being overlooked by hiring managers.
- Use of Responsibility-Oriented Language: The work experience section primarily lists responsibilities rather than emphasizing the results of the work performed. Discussing results provides proof of effectiveness and distinguishes a candidate from the competition.
- Outdated Career Objective Section: The career objective section at the top of the resume is considered outdated in modern resumes. It has been replaced by profile statements that are more aligned with current professional standards.
- Length Of The Resume: Ideally, a fresher’s resume should be concise, typically limited to one page. However, Pragati’s resume extends to one and a half pages.
